Battlefield 6 Makes Huge Changes After Beta Roll Out Last Month
The team at Battlefield Studios is changing a ton of stuff for the full launch of Battlefield 6 after receiving feedback from players. As simple and mundane as they are, there’s an art behind making a good menu, and sadly, the Battlefield 6 beta missed the mark in that regard. Battlefield 6 will almost definitely be one of the biggest video game releases of 2025. Historically, Call of Duty has topped the charts with rare exceptions made for Rockstar releases and the massive success of Hogwarts Legacy.

However, the sentiment toward Battlefield and Call of Duty has changed, possibly meaning this could be Battlefield’s year. As a spiritual successor to Battlefield‘s previous modern-day installments, 3 and 4, BF6 has had a noticeable emphasis on catering to the fanbase’s wants in an attempt to return to the series’ peak. This late in development, some things are set in stone – the nine launch maps can’t be completely reworked, for example – but a significant number of alterations are coming to the game ahead of its launch on October 10.
Here is How the Battlefield Team is Changing the Game

Changes
- Scope Glint is Being Adjusted
- Shotguns Will Get Nerfed
- Recoil Is Being Tweaked
- Jumping & Sliding Also Being Nerfed
- Roof Access Revoked
- Player Count Caps
- New Maps Coming To Battlefield Labs
The team is evaluating data and feedback for Breakthrough, a mode that was notorious for a difficult challenge during the Battlefield 6 beta, to better shape how the mode is played. It seems like some adjustments and tweaks will come, as they ultimately want a 50/50 split between wins for attackers and defenders in Breakthrough and it sounds like they’re not quite there.
Battlefield 6 will release on October 10th for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
